However, Southwest requires solid advice of the possible strategic issues from Australia’s macro-environmental and industry dynamics view. You are asked to excavate at least TWO strategic issues and understanding the resources strength, advice Southwest on what they must do to enter and thrive in Australian domestic airline market. As one of the major airlines in the USA and one of the largest low-cost carriers, Southwest Airlines Company is domesticated in Dallas, Texas – USA
This assessment task: Critically analyse Australia domestic airline industry and Southwest Airline and excavate the key strategic issues in the industry and what Southwest MUST do to enter and thrive in Australian domestic airline market. Use TWO strategic framework you have learnt in this course (e.g., PESTEL, Porters Five Forces, or VRIO) to explain Southwest’s strategy and the Australian Domestic Airline Industry challenges that must be overcome for successful entry and operation. You can use the same framework that you have explored in assignment 1 and one other framework to identify and analyse Southwest’s strategic issues and resources strengths.

• You are required to write a Business Report that must clearly address the following criteria:
• Justify your choice of the strategic frameworks and their appropriateness to the domestic airline sector
• Use the strategic frameworks to critically analyse Southwest’s strategy in that specific sector.
• Identify at least 2 problems in the Australian Domestic Airline industry and how Southwest will be affected
• Provide recommendations that Southwest could implement to successfully enter and thrive in Australian domestic airline sector
• Your report must include a concise Executive Summary with recommended actions. 
• In preparing your report, you are required to link your arguments to the course content, and to use relevant data to support your analysis and suggestions.
