Healthcare consumers may have a different understanding of what caring is and these views are formed by socio-cultural norms and personal experiences. In comparison, Nursing professionals in Australia use Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s (NMBA) professional standards, code of conduct and ethical standards as consensus statements to inform their understanding of caring in Nursing.
