Research Question: 
Does the inclusion of online resume builder will enhance the Work Integrated Learning platform for Vancouver Island University?

Introduction:
Resume is the first meeting between you and a prospective employer more often now than ever. So, how do you want to be remembered? Wrinkled and unorganized. Neat and structured. Long and boring. Precise and interesting. Companies do not have the time to interview every applicant that is interested in the job. If they did, there would not be a company to work for. They use an eliminating process. That’s right – resumes. Usually, individuals get confused while creating a resume especially fresher’s who are looking for new jobs. They are not much clear about what things and information must be included in a resume. This application will provide an easy way of developing a resume that will look like a professional resume. When a job seeker wants to apply for a job online then generally, he/she needs to attach his/her resume with the email. Online Resume Building System provides the users the popular resume formats & a better way to show their resumes to the employers. A job seeker does not need to attach a resume with every email, he/she just must include the URL of his/her resume and the employer can view the resume online by clicking on the link and can download as well in word and pdf format.

Scope of Work:
The main scope of this research is to survey harvest and analyze the level of need of Online Resume Builder Vancouver Island University Students. Online Resume Builder can be used in accordance with the requirements of the students/customers. Students can customize their resumes with their choice of themes & details. The services are hard to be defeated by the competitors as the system is providing the students exactly what they want. As part of the data collection phase of the project, an online student survey will be administered. The views of students will be important to this project as the findings from the survey will help to inform the development of an online resume builder framework for use in higher education. Only VIU students will participate in this survey.

Data Collection: Two data collection methods will be used –
1.Online Survey: An online survey is the systematic gathering of data from the target audience characterized by the invitation of the respondents and the completion of the questionnaire over the World Wide Web.
2.Interviews: An interview is generally a qualitative research technique which involves asking open-ended questions to converse with respondents and collect elicit data about a subject. For this project, I will be interviewing WIL faculties which will be help me to explain, better understand, and explore research subjects’ opinion, experience, etc.

Objective of the project:
Primary objective: To determine student’s preferences on the online resume builder application.

Secondary objective: 

• To know about the student preference level associated with Work Integrated Learning (WIL) assistance
• To find out the students’ satisfaction towards the various WIL assistance and other career-oriented assistance provided by the University
• Factors that influence decision making in using online resume builder application
• To find out how often students using external online resume builder application

Literature Review:

This paper is going to describe the views and opinions related to placement assistance from University its important problems and their solutions, describing the activities related to placement. This paper gives a proper guide to the students or the employee that how their resume looks like as per the manager’s perception. Motivates the users that how best resume gives a better impression, how important role the accuracy plays for seeking a job in any organization the first main step is to build a best resume. Respondents found the new content useful, and that the new information added value when compared with a traditional resume. This study suggests the possibility of improving the effectiveness of candidate screening and selection with the inclusion of such data in a standard resume and may be useful for instructing new business school graduates in the preparation of their professional resumes.
