- From theory, the design thinking process and practical tools presented in the EnE module, your task for the resit multi-media presentation is:
- Communicating value: What is the value for Robeco in working in partnership with City to Sea?
- Context: Robeco and City to Sea launched a partnership together in October 2018.

- Communicating value: What is the value for Robeco in working in partnership with City to Sea?
- Develop a Value Proposition that explains the “value” Robeco receives from partnering with City to Sea.
- This presentation has two part and should include
- Part 1: A completed Value Proposition Canvas (Osterwalder et al. 2014), that explores:
- Customer Profile for Rebeco detailing the jobs they are undertaking, their “pains” and their “gains”;
- Value Map for City to Sea detailing how their services could help Robeco achieve their jobs whilst relieving their pains and adding gains; and
- A concise Value Proposition statement that summarises the value Robeco receive from partnering with City to Sea (“the fit”).
- Part 2: Reflect on the process
- Using the Design thinking process, how you approached and created this value proposition – an explanation of the key aspects of the VPC tool and how you used it to address the task to gain insights (see below)
- Why collaborating and working in partnership is important to the value created (supported by theory from the EnE Reading list);
- Which entrepreneurial/employability skills that you demonstrated (supported by relevant materials from the module); and
- Finally, and most importantly, it is critical for students to think about and clearly outline any assumption that they make as they create the value proposition canvas aspect of “the fit”.
- We anticipate that you will undertake secondary data to generate insights.
- Better presentations will use the Design Thinking process and/or suggest how another practical tool(s) (Empathy Map, POV, How Might We, Prototype) complements a value proposition canvas.
- Better reflections of their assumptions, that proved incorrect from generated secondary data and insights (Learning from failure SU10 and/or Osterwalder et al. 2014).
- Final slide – a reference list of the materials you have used to inform for your presentation.
