This assessment task is comprised of one report. Students will work on an individual report that reverse engineers Amazon’s business strategy. First, choose one area to focus on i.e., Amazon in Retail, Amazon in Healthcare OR Amazon in Financial services. Students will draw on course content and original research to identify Amazon’s business strategy.

You are required to use strategic analysis tools such as, VRIO and SWOT to analyse and explain Amazon’s strategy in that specific sector. Finally, students will develop recommendations how Amazon should proceed and include other business strategies that Amazon could implement to compete in the sector. Your report must include a concise Executive Summary with recommended actions or conclusions. 

The basic purpose of this report is to present information, analyse the information and evaluate it using a critical perspective, that is, identity problems and offer solutions. In this instance you are required to write a business report that must clearly identify:
business strategy issues and the value of solving the specific issue and;
recommendations for developing or pivoting strategy in response to the key insight/s.
