Your portfolio will enable you to identify, and evidence, your developing talents for your next level of study and your future career, and will be based on your personal and professional progress over the academic year. You MUST include evidence of considerable engagement with the PPD process and demonstrate the development of key personal and professional skills.
In your e-portfolio you should:
Demonstrate how you have used your experience to learn about yourself during your first year at university and the contributions and implications of this learning for your future professional development and career choices
Clearly identify your personal strengths and areas that you need to develop in relation to your degree programme, your professional development and the expectations of potential employers
Clearly identify appropriate actions that you should take to enhance your personal qualities and competencies in relation to your life, your university journey as an early career professional and your future career path
Illustrate how you have developed AT LEAST three different skills and critically evaluate the learning strategies employed. This should include a description of how the learning needs arose and were identified as well as a rationale for the selection of the development strategies chosen to meet the needs and a critical review of their effectiveness.

Your e-portfolio MUST include:
Personal Profile – this brief personal profile gives us a snapshot of you: your skills, attributes, values, experience, aspirations and personality. It should conclude with a brief identification of your planned career path or your ideal job (around 500 words).
C.V. – up-to-date to reflect the skills and experiences you have gained during your first year at university. This should follow a standard MMU format, either from the Career Hub’s Employability service or from the Placement service. (no word limit or count restriction in this section, but it should not extend beyond two pages in length)
Critical reflection on your three Development Goals – for each Goal, write a brief critical reflection on your progress – this means three short sections, one for each goal.

Brief action plan for next year – this will outline how you intend to achieve your Goals, and developed into Level 5 studies. If you choose a new goal(s), a brief justification of these and an action plan is required.
